004 cooperates with Demandware

Aschaffenburg/Jena, October 4th 2007 - The platform of e-commerce specialist Demandware can now be used by the customers of full service provider 004 GmbH. So 004 is providing its customers with the newest e-commerce technology on an on-demand basis. The principle "Software as a Service" implies the provision of a complete e-commerce application as an on-demand service.

Hence, mail order companies, retailers and manufacturers may operate customized e-commerce solutions without having to buy software or to operate costly computing centers. In contrary to traditional software, the Demandware solution is growing with the customers' demand and is always being automatically equipped with the newest functions.

As a partner, T-Systems Multimedia Solutions will support the installation of the systems and ensure the ongoing operation in the computing center of T-Systems. T-Systems MMS has perennial experience in e-commerce projects within internationally operating companies and is since 2005 Demandware's largest implementation partner.

Demandware is the company of Intershop founder Stephan Schambach specialized in on-demand e-commerce solutions. The enterprise e-commerce platform, available since 2005, is providing a high-performance standard for the management of complex and resilient shop systems. Through the new partnership with 004 GmbH for Advisory and General Services, Demandware acquires new customers and for the first time wins a fulfillment provider, operating throughout Europe, as a partner.

So 004 GmbH for Advisory and General Services is able to continue to provide its customers with individual solutions that offer a higher availability and scalability due to the new platform and can constantly be adapted to the customers' needs through continued development. As a result, 004 can concentrate on its core competence, the implementation of web shops, and will in future be able to provide support to an even larger number of customers for the realization of their web shops.
