Aschaffenburg, October 26th 2007 - Entrepreneur from Aschaffenburg makes a return visit to Friedrich-Dessauer-Gymnasium.
Last July, Robert Hein, COO of the e-commerce service provider 004 GmbH, had participated in the nationwide project "teachers in the boss's chair" and answered the questions of Sandra Ernst, teacher at Friedrich-Dessauer-Gymnasium.
This week, he followed up on the school's return invitation and presented himself and his company to about 60 high school seniors. First, he talked about his varied career that led him a few years ago from Chicago to the Lower Main, where he established his thriving company in his early 30s. Following that, he presented the range of services accessed by renowned clients such as T-Online and Buffalo, whose online shops are run from Aschaffenburg.
Finally, he gave the students tips on applications and working life. "Personal commitment and persuasiveness are more important to me than grades," explained the managing director of the company from Aschaffenburg. In his opinion, important rules are that reasoning is more useful than mere knowledge, that one's own opinion always must be supported by arguments and that criticism is only useful provided it goes hand in hand with suggestions for improvements.
The presentation went down very well with the students and was therefore followed by numerous questions. So it is not astonishing that the first applications arrived already the next day. This was a great project for all involved; 004 will be glad to support it in the future, too.
